African Daisy (Dimorphotheca Sinuata) Wildflower Seeds grow brilliant orange, yellow, pinkish daisies that look similar to tropical Gerber, a popular cut flower. Easy to grow flowers that adapt well to poor or dry soil. These flower plants create beautiful color along with other drought tolerant native flowers that make great companion plants and/or wildflowers (like gazanias) These flowers are wonderful for flower arrangements, cut flowers, containers, flower boxes, planters because of their long lasting blooms. A flower famous for waiting for the water, these grow well in dry places – don’t overwater these African Daisy Flowers. Flowers with Great color for the front of meadows, blooms in mid-summer through fall. Grows best in dry, gritty, well draining soil and thrives in hot, dry areas, making this a western favorite, perfect for rocky mountains and colorado. African Daisies grow easily from seed and make an excellent border or ground cover. Plants prefer full sun or part shade. Origin: Southern Africa Common Names: Cape Marigold, Glandular Cape Marigold, Rain Daisy, Sun Marigold, Star of the Veldt, Namaqualand Daisy Height: 6-12″ Spacing: 12-15″ Prefer Full Sun. Plants will flower 2-3 months after planting. Once they flower be sure to dead-head regularly to prolong flowering & increase blooms. They reseed readily & will come back as a perennial if allowed to drop its seed. These flowers grow well in rock gardens or dry areas & attracts butterflies & bees. 
Growing: Grow in light, well-drained, soil in full sun, in a sheltered position. Either plant in early spring inside in containers & plan on transplanting (late fall or early winter in mildest climates) or plant seeds outdoors in mid-spring when temps have warmed up & threat of frost has past. Simply sow seeds directly on ground & rake in lightly so they don’t blow away. Germination Light Required so be sure not to bury seeds any deeper than 1/16″. Keep moist until germination occurs. Ideal Temp: 60 – 70F. Seeds will germinate in about 10-14 days & flowers will bloom in approximately 2-3 months. Saving Seeds: After flowering, this plant will produce flat, papery seeds. Since the wind often blows them away, they should be gathered as soon as they have ripened to a light tan color. Shake seeds into a container.
