GOLDEN CHAIN TREE SEEDS (Laburnum anagyroides) With Hanging Golden-Yellow Spring Flowers Each Year; the (Laburnum anagyroides) is the Perfect Specimen for Landscaping. This Large, Robust, Spreading Tree is a Fast Grower, and Even when not Flowering; Looks Stunning, due to it’s Gorgeous, Cut Foliage. Also known as ‘Golden Rain’; it’s Fragrant Flowers are Produced in Long Racemes, Followed by Silvery Pods. If Space is not as Issue; Grow the (Laburnum anagyroides) Over an Archway, Where it’s Golden Blooms will Hang, Displaying it’s Beautiful Colors. Best grown in organically rich, medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Sharp soil drainage is particularly important. Best in full sun in the northern part of its growing range, but appreciates part afternoon shade in hot summer climates such as the St. Louis area. It will not grow good in areas warmer or farther south than zone 7. Zones 5-7Golden Chain Germination:1) Scarify first by sanding the seed shells with rough grit sand paper, but never too deep.2) Place the seeds in a heat proof container and pour hot (not boiling!) water 70-80 degrees Celsius over them and leave them to soak for between 12-24 hours. Seeds that have been successfully pretreated will have swollen to around 3 times their previous size. Remove all swollen seeds as these will be damaged by further pretreatments. These can be sown immediately. This hot water treatment can be repeated up to 3 times, making the water a little hotter each time. Seeds that remain small need to be dried for further treatment.3) Plant seeds in pots or seed trays of good quality compost at a depth of about 1/2″ inch deep. The seed usually germinates in under 4 weeks at 70°F. It is important that temperatures or not greatly higher than this or germination will be reduced. “Please Contact us First if you Need Anything”

Solanum Pyracanthum 4″ pot

The Solanum Pyracantha, also known as Porcupine Tomato is a very conspicuous and unusual plant. It always attracts attention and initiates conversations.Solanum Pyracanthum has velvety gray-bluish-green leaves with protruding glowing bright orange thorns.The purple flowers are star shaped with yellow stamens and are prolific.You can spend a lot of time studying this plant, discovering new details about the texture, shape of the wavy leaves and the arrangement of the angular thorns. It is a great subject for macro photography. If you live in a cold climate I suggest you overwinter inside. These plants were grown from my own cultivated seeds. These plants continue to grow once I have photographed them. I will send the largest available first. The shortest the day I photographed were at least 12″ tall.
